A Poor Man’s War is an independent feature film about the men and women living on or near the border of the United States and Mexico. The story follows, Kio, an Army Ranger veteran, on a mission into the borderlands to rescue an old military buddy, Novack. Kio finds Novac deep in the unforgiving, ruthless desert terrain that is the borderlands. Since Novac's discharge from the military he has gone off the grid and formed a hard drinking, rag tag, armed to the teeth, border militia. Kio is exposed to the; racism, poverty, alcoholism, bigotry, hopelessness, lawlessness, and isolation that is driving the borderlands into madness. The desperation of the illegal immigrants is juxtaposed with the resolve of the border militia to keep them out. The situation is exacerbated by the growing threat of a Mexican drug cartel and Novac’s own private war.

dave@cultureshockproductions.com
We are committed to finding, developing and producing Intellectual Properties with culturally diverse appeal both domestically and internationally. We believe whole heartedly that within the changing distribution models and digital landscape of our times one thing is abundantly clear; cultural boundaries are fading, global markets are opening up and culturally diverse content is becoming more and more desirable. You don't have to travel half way around the world to experience culture shock. Sometimes all you have to do is knock on your neighbors door.
